Mozilla Reveals Future Of Firefox UI And Features

Mozilla is making every attempt to remain one of the most popular Web browsers. The browser developer is eyeing on the next big thing – Windows 8 to gain a major pie in the market share. Like other browser developers, Mozilla is working on a different browser for the new Metro user interface on Windows 8 as the new Windows will have a new format and design.
Microsoft showcased the consumer preview of Windows 8 sometime back and the operating system already has many takers. This has given developers an opportunity to upgrade their software as per the new operating system. Madhava Enros from the Mozilla user interface team has showcased the mockups of what the Firefox browser may look like when it runs on Windows 8 Metro user interface. Enros unveiled the presentation late last week at the Firefox Toronto Workweek.

The presentation gives a glimpse of different aspects of the revamped browser, including its design and aesthetics. According to Enros, the new design is 'beautiful and engaging'. It allows 'quick and seamless access to your stuff'. It is 'simple and powerful' and enables 'comfortable browsing'.
Mozilla has emphasised on making the experience similar across devices. The slide show also has a glimpse of Firefox running on the B2G (Boot to Gecko) project. B2G is Mozilla's mobile operating system.
