Eugene Kaspersky, founder and CEO, Kaspersky Lab said, "Apple was 10 years behind Microsoft when it came to security and Flashback trojan attack was first of many attacks that could follow directed at the now popular operating system."
According to Kaspersky, Flashback asked users to install itself without showing any existing alert box that resulted it to enter the Macs. He said that there is no difference between Mac and Windows. Recently, it has been accounted that in comparison to last quarter, Apple's sale rose to 7 per cent. However, Kaspersky still feels that malware writers would still target Windows as it’s by far the most used platform.
Earlier, Apple was disgraced for taking months to release bug fixes, which became an advantage for Flashback trojan to enter the Macs. Apple certainly needs to create some changes to its development process for getting rid of the Flashback trojan.
