Now, Android-Powered Car Stereos, Rear-View Mirrors

The International Consumer Electronics show is now over but there are lot many amazing gadgets that are still popping up, demanding special attention due to their sheer innovation.
We earlier mentioned apps for automobiles such as MyFord Mobile app that got featured in 10 best innovative gadgets @ CES 2012. Now, here's an Android offering from the stable of Rydeen, especially designed for car stereos and rear-view mirrors.

The company is developing a double-DIN stereo head unit that runs Android 2.2. There is already a functional version of Froyo running from within a rear-view mirror developed by the firm, as spotted by Engadget at the event.
The tech specs of the Rydeen DV621 Multimedia Receiver include Android 2.2 Froyo, 15.7-cm (6.2-inch) WVGA TFT touchscreen, ARM Cortex A8 1GHz processor, GPS, in-built 4-channel amplifier having 45W per channel, dedicated subwoofer output and RCA audio connectors.
Optimised for drivers, a finalised version of the mirror with a simplified interface is expected by 2013.
