Epson Launches Range Of Home Projectors In India

Epson unveiled four home projectors and two projectors for business purposes on Wednesday. Out of the projectors released on the day, two projectors caught the eye - the 3D projector, EH-TW6000 and the world's first Apple device projector, Epson MG-850HD. Epson has released its first 3D projector which is aimed at 3D and HD movie lovers. Epson claims the projector offers the brightest 3D images in the world. The users also have the option of 2D to 3D image conversion with the projector.

Epson's MG-850 HD comes with a dock, which enables users to connect their Apple devices like the iPhone, iPad or the iPod to the projector and then play the multimedia content from the respective devices on the projector. Harish A K, senior business manager--Visual Instruments, Epson India, said, "Users can only play movies and see pictures on the projector screen from their Apple devices as Apple does not allow the use of its icons and other iOS features."
The company also launched Epson EH-DM30HD, all-in-one projector and the EH-TW480 projector, which is powered by Epson's 3LCD technology that cuts down power usage by 25 per cent.
The 3D projector is priced at Rs 1,10,000 and the Apple device projector comes at a cost of Rs 49,900. The other two home projectors EH-DM30HD and the EH-TW480 are priced at Rs 52,000 and Rs 48,000, respectively.
Epson also launched two projectors in the business segment--EB-1800 and the EB-400, priced at Rs 87,200 onwards and Rs 70,000 onwards, respectively. Speaking to EFYTimes, Samba Moorthy, senior general manager--sales and marketing, Epson India, said, "There is a lot of potential for the projector business in the education as well as small and medium businesses. We are eyeing a 20 per cent growth in 2012."
