Ubuntu Linux To Be A Smartphone OS Now!

Humanity towards others is likely to expand! If reports are to be believed, Canonical is geared up to expand Ubuntu Linux distribution on to tablets, smartphones and other touch interface consumer electronics.
"Everyday computer users are starting to do their computing across a broader array of devices and form factors. Canonical wants to bring Ubuntu to all the personal computing form factors, on phones, tablets, and smart-screens," Mark Shuttleworth, founder, Canonical told media.

Canonical, a UK-based company, put up a job posting for a business development manager for Ubuntu Phone OS, which hints that Ubuntu Linux as a smartphone OS is in making. It's hard to predict the future but it's easy to believe on these reports for now. Ubuntu Linux is the most used Linux distribution and its new version in the making will only make it ultimate.
"An application for Ubuntu in the future will have multiple personalities. When it is running on a desktop computer, it will have a different personality from when it is running on a tablet. From a developer point of view, there will be a phenomenal amount of coherency and reuse of the core capabilities on the application," Shuttleworth added.
According to the latest ComScore survey, 40 per cent of the smartphones are run by Google's Android OS. The present market context goes in favour of big players like Google and Apple. Under these circumstances, Canonical will have to keep the standards high to create an amicable aura for Ubuntu Linux as a smartphone OS.
Fingers crossed!
