Stephen Elop, CEO, Nokia, said at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona that Nokia is focussed on competing with Android. He said that the firm wants to bring Android to Lumia phones. The latest offering from Nokia--the Lumia smartphones run Microsoft Windows operating system and this combined effort of both the companies has been made to help them out of their recent slumps. Elop said that carriers who have seen the entire product map from the company, are confident about the prospects for Windows Phone. So far, around a million units of Lumia phones have been sold, which Elop said should not be compared with a much established platform like Android.
